Those people in your life, the ones that are there for you no matter what, they are your family. Maybe they’re not blood, maybe you fight, maybe you’re not as close as you like. But there are so many people that come in and out of your life, the ones that stay, I would call them family.
What’s so special about family? It’s that bond, one distance and time can’t break, that keeps you so close no matter how long it’s been, or how far you are.
If you have this kind of family, you’re fortunate. Enough said. But I don’t know that we take enough time to really appreciate the family we have. Spending time with the people you love, the ones that are always going to be there, is too often taken for granted. You may not remember the thousands of faces you see, the names of the kids you went to school with, your colleagues, your peers… they may have shaped you, but they didn’t make you.
You’re friends are the people who make you who you are. Who you choose to love and spend time with says a lot about you, and shapes you in every way. After all, you are a product of your surroundings. So spend time with the people you love, the ones that make you feel important, make you think. You can never love someone too much, but you may regret not loving them enough.
